3UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: SFI SYSTEM: PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
* Perform initialization (throttle position) after replacing the throttle body assembly or cleaning any throttle body components Installation.
* Perform initialization (throttle position) after reconnecting the battery cable or replacing the ECM Installation.
* Initialize the following systems after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
* Perform the RESET MEMORY (A/T initialization) operation after replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM.
* Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM Programming and Relearning.
HINT
RESET MEMORY cannot be completed by only disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
