Problem Symptoms Table

Use the table below to help determine the cause of problem symptoms. If multiple suspected areas are listed, the potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected Area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.

GENERAL

When auto-display mode is set, display does not change to appropriate screen even though vehicle speed exceeds display permission vehicle speed (approximately 12 km/h [7 mph] or less) Vehicle Stability Control System Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
Replace parking assist ECU Refer to REMOVAL
When auto-display mode is set, display does not change from displayed screen even though vehicle speed is reduced to display permission vehicle speed (approximately 10 km/h [6 mph] or less) Vehicle Stability Control System Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
Replace parking assist ECU Refer to REMOVAL
When auto-display mode is set, display does not change from displayed screen even though shift lever is moved to position other than P or R Proceed to ""CHK" message(s) are displayed on the SIGNAL CHECK screen" Refer to "CHK" message(s) are displayed on the SIGNAL CHECK screen.
Replace parking assist ECU Refer to REMOVAL
When auto-display mode is not set, display does not change from displayed screen even though operating wide view front and side monitor switch while within display permission vehicle speed (approximately 12 km/h [7 mph] or less) Proceed to ""CHK" message(s) are displayed on the SIGNAL CHECK screen" Refer to "CHK" message(s) are displayed on the SIGNAL CHECK screen.
Replace parking assist ECU Refer to REMOVAL
DISPLAY MALFUNCTION

Image from camera for the Wide View Front Monitor is Abnormal (Other monitor system is also Abnormal). Proceed to "Image from All Cameras are Abnormal" Refer to Images from All Cameras are Abnormal
Replace parking assist ECU Refer to REMOVAL
Image from camera for the Wide View Front Monitor is Abnormal (Other monitor system is normal). Proceed to "Image from Camera for Wide View Front Monitor is Abnormal" Refer to Image from Camera for Wide View Front Monitor is Abnormal
Replace parking assist ECU Refer to REMOVAL
WIDE VIEW FRONT MONITOR SYSTEM MALFUNCTION
