Steering Angle Sensor: Installation: Installation

INSTALL SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1 .
  NOTE:
  - Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on.
  - Do not rotate the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on.
  - Make sure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.
  - Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN UPPER COVER . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
ADJUST SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
1. Install the steering wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the SRS warning light. Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .
