Problem Symptoms Table

If there are no DTCs output and the problem still occurs, check the circuits for each problem symptom in the order given in the following table and proceed to the relevant troubleshooting information.

NOTE:

When replacing the brake actuator assembly, sensors, etc., turn the engine switch off.

Front speed sensor circuit (Comparison malfunction) Refer to DTC C1401: Front Speed Sensor RH Malfunction; DTC C1402: Front Speed Sensor LH Malfunction
Rear speed sensor circuit (Comparison malfunction) Refer to DTC C1403: Rear Speed Sensor RH Malfunction; DTC C1404: Rear Speed Sensor LH Malfunction
Front speed sensor circuit (Performance malfunction) Refer to DTC C1409: Front Speed Sensor RH Performance; DTC C1410: Front Speed Sensor LH Performance
Rear speed sensor circuit (Performance malfunction) Refer to DTC C1411: Rear Speed Sensor RH Performance; DTC C1412: Rear Speed Sensor LH Performance
Check the brake actuator assembly using the Techstream. (Check brake actuator assembly operation using the Active Test function.) If abnormal, check the hydraulic circuit for leaks. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If the symptom still occurs even after the circuits listed above have been inspected and proved to be normal, replace the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). Refer to REMOVAL
ABS, BA and/or EBD does not operate efficiently Check for DTCs again and make sure that the normal system code is output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
Front speed sensor circuit (Output malfunction) Refer to DTC C1413: Front Speed Sensor RH Output Malfunction; DTC C1414: Front Speed Sensor LH Output Malfunction
Rear speed sensor circuit (Output malfunction) Refer to DTC C1415: Rear Speed Sensor RH Output Malfunction; DTC C1416: Rear Speed Sensor LH Output Malfunction
Front speed sensor circuit (Open or short malfunction) Refer to DTC C1405: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1406: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Rear speed sensor circuit (Open or short malfunction) Refer to DTC C1407: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1408: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor LH Circuit

Front speed sensor circuit (Performance malfunction) Refer to DTC C1409: Front Speed Sensor RH Performance; DTC C1410: Front Speed Sensor LH Performance
Rear speed sensor circuit (Performance malfunction) Refer to DTC C1411: Rear Speed Sensor RH Performance; DTC C1412: Rear Speed Sensor LH Performance
Stop light switch circuit (Open or short malfunction) Refer to DTC C1425: Open in Stop Light Switch Circuit
Stop light switch circuit (Stuck off malfunction) Refer to DTC C1426: Stop Light Switch OFF Stuck Malfunction
Check the brake actuator assembly using the Techstream. (Check brake actuator assembly operation using the Active Test function.) If abnormal, check the hydraulic circuit for leaks. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If the symptom still occurs even after the circuits listed above have been inspected and proved to be normal, replace the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). Refer to REMOVAL

If the symptom still occurs even after the circuits listed above have been inspected and proved to be normal, replace the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). Refer to REMOVAL

If the symptom still occurs even after the circuits listed above have been inspected and proved to be normal, replace the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). Refer to REMOVAL
VSC sensor DTC check cannot be done Check for DTCs again and make sure that the normal system code is output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
TC and CG terminal circuit Refer to TC and CG Terminal Circuit
