Throttle Body: Installation: Installation
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
- Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose to the throttle body assembly.
NOTE:
Position the claws of the clamps as shown in the illustration.
- Set the throttle body assembly and new gasket with the 2 stud bolts.
- Using a "TORX" socket E6, tighten the 2 stud bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
- Install the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose with the hose clamp.
- Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose with the hose clamp.
- Connect the throttle body connector.
- Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose to the throttle body assembly.
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose and lock the 2 clamps.

HINT:
Tightening torque for the hose clamp located between the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and air cleaner hose assembly is as follows.
Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)
- Connect the air cleaner hose to the throttle body with the hose clamp.
Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 2 ventilation hoses with the 2 hose clamps.
- Connect the mass air flow meter connector and wire harness clamp.
- Install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose and lock the 2 clamps.
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 4
- INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 95
- INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION NOTE:
Be sure to perform this procedure after replacing the ECM or throttle body or cleaning the throttle valve.
- Disconnect the cable from negative battery terminal. Wait at least 60 seconds and reconnect the cable to negative battery terminal.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) without operating the accelerator pedal.NOTE:
If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

Condition Engine Idle Speed A/C switched off 700 to 800 rpm NOTE:- Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
- Make sure that the shift lever is in N.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain/ Engine and ECT/ Data List/ Throttle Pos. Sensor Output. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or more.
- Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
