Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Install the steering angle sensor to the spiral cable.

      NOTE:
      • Engage the claws securely.
      • Do not damage the claws.
  2. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE  . Refer to INSPECTION - Step 1
  3. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  4. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  5. CENTER SPIRAL CABLE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
  7. INSTALL STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  8. INSPECT STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  9. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    • Make sure that the cable has been disconnected from the battery terminal for at least 2 seconds before reconnecting the cable.
    • Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal with the front wheels facing straight ahead.
  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
