Height Control Compressor: Removal: Removal

WARNING:

Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

    NOTE:

    w/ Navigation System (for HDD):

    After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Condition Waiting Time
    Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
    Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 10
  7. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  10. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
  11. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
  12. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 10
  13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
  15. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH 
  16. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.
    2. Partially remove the fender liner.

      HINT: 

      It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the compressor can be removed.

  17. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR 
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.

    2. Disconnect the height control filter from the front bumper reinforcement.
    3. Disconnect the height control tube. Refer to PRECAUTION .
    4. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and height control compressor with bracket.

    5. Detach the 3 clamps.
    6. Detach the connector's claw and remove the connector from the bracket.
    7. Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushings and bracket from the compressor.
