Hybrid Transmission System: Precaution: Precaution
NOTE:
Refer to INITIALIZATION and perform RESET MEMORY when replacing the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly or hybrid vehicle control ECU.
HINT:
RESET MEMORY cannot be completed by only disconnecting the battery cable.
- Before removing the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly, remove all dirt or foreign objects on the transmission to prevent them from entering when removing or reinstalling the transmission.
- Do not allow water or foreign objects to enter the terminal connectors, the terminals on the motor cable and generator cable, or the terminals on the transmission.
- Keep removed parts in order and protect them from dirt or other foreign objects.
- During regular service intervals, it is not necessary to check the ATF level. However, an ATF level check is necessary if any of the following conditions is met.
- Any signs of fluid leaks are found.
- The hybrid vehicle transmission assembly has been replaced.
- An oil cooler hose has been disconnected.
- Use Toyota Genuine ATF WS.
