Camshaft Position Sensor: Removal: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension) 
    NOTE:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (w/ Air Suspension)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  4. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
  5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 39
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 7
  8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR RESONATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 37
  9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 38
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 40
  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  See step  11
  12. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  13. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  14. REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  15. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Bank 2) 
    1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and sensor.

  16. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Bank 1) 
    1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and sensor.
