Heated Steering Wheel Controller: Installation: Installation

NOTE:
  • Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
  • Do not rotate the spiral cable without the steering wheel with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
  • Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.
  • Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.
  1. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the steering wheel heater control assembly to the lower steering wheel boss cover with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 0.8 N*m (9 kgf*cm, 7 in.*lbf) 

    2. Engage the clamp.
  2. INSTALL LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER  See step  3
  3. INSTALL STEERING SHAKE DAMPER  See step  4
  4. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE  See step  5
  5. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  6. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY  See step  1
  7. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  8. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  9. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  See step  10
  10. CHECK STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  11. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
