How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CONFIRM PROBLEM SYMPTOMS 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Check if the vehicle has been jump started due to a discharged auxiliary battery.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      The vehicle has never been jump started. A
      The vehicle has been jump started due to a discharged auxiliary battery. B

      B → GO TO ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION/CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE. Refer to  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  

      A: Go to next step 

  4. CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CHECK 
    1. Using the Techstream, display the CAN Bus Check screen and check that all ECUs and sensors that are connected to CAN communication system are displayed on the screen.

      NG → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  . 

      OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK FOR DTCS 

    Result

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is output A
    DTC is not output B

    A → GO TO DTC TABLE 

    B: Go to next step 

  6. ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION 

    Result

    Result Proceed to
    Malfunctioning area has been determined A
    Malfunctioning area has not been determined B

    A → GO TO STEP   8 

    B: Go to next step 

  7. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  8. REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    NEXT → END
