EVAP Monitor (Key-Off Monitor)

  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
  2. Put the engine in inspection mode.
  3. Confirm the following conditions are satisfied:
    • The fuel level is less than 90%.
    • The altitude is less than 7874 ft. (2400 m).
    • The vehicle is stopped (the vehicle speed is 0 mph (0 km/h)).
    • The engine coolant temperature is 4.4 to 35°C (40 to 95°F).
    • The intake air temperature is 4.4 to 35°C (40 to 95°F).
  4. Perform the following drive pattern:
    1. Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes or more.
    2. Turn the power switch off and wait 5, 7, 9.5 hours.
  5. Check the monitor status with the Techstream.
