Fuel Pressure Sensor: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR 
    1. Install a new gasket to the fuel pressure sensor.
    2. Using SST, install the fuel pressure sensor to the fuel delivery pipe.

      • SST: 09922-10010 

      without SST 

      Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      Torque: 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply oil to threads of the pressure sensor and delivery pipe.
      • Do not allow foreign matter to enter the pipe during the installation.

      HINT: 

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.).
      • Make sure SST and torque wrench are connected in a straight line.
    3. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Install the intake manifold. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 6
  7. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  8. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
