On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester ON.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine/Data List/ETCS/Accelerator Position No. 1 and accelerator Position No. 2.
    5. Read the value displayed on the tester.

      ACCEL POS #1 (Accelerator Position No. 1) standard voltage

      Condition Specified Condition
      Accelerator pedal sensor is released 0.5 to 1.1 V
      Accelerator pedal sensor is depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V

      ACCEL POS #2 (Accelerator Position No. 2) standard voltage

      Condition Specified Condition
      Accelerator pedal sensor is released 1.2 to 2.0 V
      Accelerator pedal sensor is depressed 3.4 to 5.0 V

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor, wire harness or ECM.
