Audio And Visual System: Precaution: Precaution

  1. PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    WAITING TIME BEFORE DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY TERMINAL

    Condition Waiting Time
    Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
    Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
  2. NOTICE FOR INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.

    System Name See procedure
    Advanced Parking Guidance System Refer to INITIALIZATION
    Power Trunk Lid System
    Rear Door Sunshade System
  3. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. When using the Techstream with the power switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
    2. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG).
