On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the operation.
      1. Connect the Techstream to DLC3.
      2. Start the engine and turn the Techstream on.
      3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the ACM Inhibit.

        Control the ACM Inhibit ACM ON / OFF Test is possible while engine is idling
      4. Check if the front engine mounting insulator assembly operates in accordance with tester operation.

        Result

        Condition Specified Condition
        "Control the ACM Inhibit" is OFF The engine does not move (insulator operation is normal).
        "Control the ACM Inhibit" is ON The engine moves in accordance with insulator operation.
    2. Inspect for vacuum leak.
      1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the front engine mounting insulator assembly.
      2. Using a vacuum pump, apply a vacuum of 80 kPa (600 mmHg, 0.394 in.Hg) and wait for 1 minute.

      3. Check that there is no change in the needle movement of the vacuum pump gauge.

        OK

        Vacuum pressure holds.

      4. Check that there is no fluid leakage caused by a break in the diaphragm.
      5. Reconnect the vacuum hose.
