How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [09/2012 - ]

HINT: 

• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the power window control system.
• *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard voltage

   11 to 14 V

   If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

   NEXT: Go to next step 

3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)* 
   1. Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.
      RESULT

      DTC B22B3 is not output	A
      DTC B22B3 is output	B

      B → GO TO ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2012 - ] 

      A: Go to next step 

4. CHECK FOR DTC* 
   1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
   2. Delete the DTC.
   3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output in the first step, try to force output of the same DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.

      D → GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2012 - ] 

      A: Go to next step 

5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
   1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table.

   2. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU [09/2012 - ] .
   3. Data List / Active Test. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2012 - ] .

7. REPAIR OR REPLACE

8. RESET POWER WINDOW MOTOR 
   1. If the power window master switch AUTO light is blinking, reset the power window motor. Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2012 - ] .
