Installation [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 2 brackets with the 2 bolts.

      for bolt A 

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    2. Install the generator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Install the bracket with the nut.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the generator wire to terminal B with the nut.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf) 

    5. Install the terminal cap.
    6. Attach the 2 clamps, and connect the generator connector to the generator.
    7. Connect the connector to the cooling fan ECU.
  2. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Connect the wire harness with the 3 nuts (A).

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 connectors (B).
  3. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  5. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] )

  6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 118

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
