INTRODUCTION

Some 2014 - 2016 Lexus vehicles may exhibit a navigation system rebooting condition. (This condition may be due to an errant data broadcast by Toyota's traffic and weather data service provider.) Follow the process in this bulletin to reset the navigation system.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

• This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date. 
• Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.

NAVIGATION SYSTEM RESET PROCEDURE

1. Confirm navigation system is rebooting when ignition is turned on.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's 12 volt battery.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. Reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's 12 volt battery.
5. Confirm multimedia system operation after multimedia system reloads. Multimedia system can take up to 5 minutes to reload after a battery disconnect.
   • If navigation system begins functioning normally proceed to step  7.
   • If navigation system continues to reboot this TSB does not apply, diagnose per the Repair Manual.
