Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  2. INSTALL ECM BRACKET 
    1. Install the ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the ECM to the engine room ECM box.
      NOTE:
      • When installing the ECM, make sure that the stud bolt on the rear side is inserted into the hole of the ECM bracket first.
      • Make sure that the ECM is installed so that the stud bolts pass through the holes of the front and rear ECM brackets properly.
      • If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
    2. Install the ECM with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Replace with a new part if it is dropped or if it receives a strong impact.

    3. Connect the connector of the engine wire to the ECM and lock with the lever.

      NOTE:
      • When connecting a connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter is not stuck between the connector and ECM.
      • Make sure that the lever is securely lowered.
    4. Connect the connector of the engine wire to the ECM and lock with the lever.

      NOTE:
      • When connecting a connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter is not stuck between the connector and ECM.
      • Make sure that the lever is securely lowered.
    5. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the claw to connect the connector holder to the engine room ECM box.
  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER 
    NOTE:
    • Make sure there is no water on or around the engine room ECU cover.
    • Perform the inspection indoors to avoid rain.
    • Be sure to prevent water from contacting the ECM (connectors and screw parts).
    1. Install the engine room ECU cover with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

  5. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ]
