Pattern Select Switch Snow Mode Circuit [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data / Snow Switch Status.

   Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

   Tester Display
   Snow Switch Status

5. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

   OK

   Condition	Techstream Display (Snow Switch Status)
   Snow mode switch pushed and held	ON
   Snow mode switch not pushed	OFF

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [10/2015 - ]

NG

1. Inspect the combination switch assembly (snow mode switch).

   Refer to INSPECTION [10/2015 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SNOW MODE SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the K24 combination switch assembly (snow mode switch) connector.
2. Disconnect the A12 ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A12-16 (SNWI) - K24-2 (2ND)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A12-16 (SNWI) or K24-2 (2ND) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the K24 combination switch assembly (snow mode switch) connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   K24-4 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - 09/2017]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2017 - ]
