Removal [10/2015 - 11/2017]: Procedure
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE CENTER NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR SOUND CREATOR (w/ INTAKE AIR SOUND CREATOR)
HINT:
Only perform this procedure when replacement of the intake air sound creator is necessary.
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- Disengage the wire harness clamp.
- Disengage the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose clamp from the air cleaner hose assembly.
- Disengage the 4 air cleaner cap clamps.
*A w/ Intake Air Sound Creator *B w/o Intake Air Sound Creator - Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank assembly.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
*1 No. 1 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
- Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
