Removal [08/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    (See article. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2014 - ] )

  2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly (See article. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 ).
      NOTE:
      • Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
      • Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
      • Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.
      • Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
