Removal [08/2014 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
(See article. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2014 - ] )
- REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly (See article. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
).NOTE:
- Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
- Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
- Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.
- Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
- Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly (See article. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
).
