Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ]
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER NOTE:
- Make sure there is no water on or around the engine room ECU cover.
- Perform the inspection indoors to avoid rain.
- Be sure to prevent water from contacting the ECM (connectors and screw parts).
- REMOVE ECM
- Disengage the lock, pull down the lever and disconnect the connector of the engine room main wire from the ECM.
- Disconnect the 3 connectors.
- Using a small screwdriver, detach the claw and disconnect the connector holder from the engine room ECM box.
- Disengage the lock, pull up the lever and disconnect the connector of the engine wire from the ECM.
- Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.NOTE:
Replace with a new part if it is dropped or if it receives a strong impact.
- Disengage the lock, pull down the lever and disconnect the connector of the engine room main wire from the ECM.
- REMOVE ECM BRACKET
- REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
