Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  2. INSTALL ECM BRACKET 
    1. Install the ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the ECM with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Install the ECM to the ECM box with the name plate facing the outside of the vehicle.
      • Make sure that there is no foreign matter on the gasket surface of the ECM box.
      • Insert the stud bolt on the vehicle rear side into the ECM first.
      • Make sure that the stud bolts are securely installed into the front and rear bolt holes.
  4. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Connect the connector of the engine wire to the ECM and lock with the lever.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting a connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter is not stuck between the connector and ECM.
      • Make sure that the lever is securely lowered.
    2. Connect the connector of the engine room main wire to the ECM and lock with the lever.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting a connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter is not stuck between the connector and ECM.
      • Make sure that the lever is securely raised.
  5. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER 
    1. Install the engine room ECU cover with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Make sure that the wire harness does not getcaught between the parts.

  6. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 117

  7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 118

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
