Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2017 - 05/2018], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2018 - ]
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2017 - ]
- REMOVE CENTER NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- Disengage the wire harness clamp.
- Disconnect the 2 clamp hooks from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
- Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the front water by-pass joint.
*1 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose - Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water inlet housing.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts, throttle body with motor assembly and throttle body gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
