Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [08/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [08/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Bank 1:

      Remove the 4 ignition coils.

      1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the engine wire.

      2. Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors.
      3. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils.

    2. for Bank 2:

      Remove the 4 ignition coils.

      1. Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the engine wire.

      2. Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors.
      3. Detach the clamp and disconnect the engine wire.

      4. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass pipe.

      5. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils.

  6. REMOVE SPARK PLUG 
    1. Using a 16 mm plug wrench, remove the 8 spark plugs.
