General Maintenance [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

INSPECT DRIVE BELT
1. Check the drive belt.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2013 - 10/2017]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]
REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
1. Check the engine oil and oil filter.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to REPLACEMENT [04/2013 - 08/2015]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to REPLACEMENT [04/2013 - 08/2015]
REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT
1. Check the engine coolant.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to REPLACEMENT [04/2013 - 08/2015]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to REPLACEMENT [04/2013 - 08/2015]
INSPECT SPARK PLUGS
1. Check the spark plugs.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2013 - 10/2017]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]
INSPECT BATTERY
1. Check the battery.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2013 - 10/2017]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]

INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT

Check that the air cleaner filter element is not excessively dirty.

If the air cleaner filter element is excessively dirty, replace the air cleaner filter element.

If cleaning the air cleaner filter element, blow compressed air as shown in the illustration to clean it.
Reinstall the air cleaner filter element.

INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS
1. Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.
INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP GASKET
1. Check the fuel tank cap gasket.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to INSPECTION [04/2013 - 10/2017]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to INSPECTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]
INSPECT FUEL LINES, CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BANDS
1. Visually check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks, leaks, loose connections, or deformation.
2. Check for tank band looseness or deformation.
INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER
1. Check the charcoal canister.
  For 2GR-FSE: Refer to INSPECTION [04/2013 - 10/2017]
  
  For 4GR-FSE: Refer to INSPECTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]
