Customize Parameters [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CUSTOMIZE POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 

    HINT: 

    The following items can be customized.

    NOTE:
    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
    1. Customizing with the Techstream
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the Techstream on.
      4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Door Lock.
      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        DOOR LOCK

        Display Default Contents Setting Relevant ECU
        Automatic Door Lock Function*1 By Shift from P
        • By Shift from P: Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved out of P, with the engine switch on (IG) and all doors closed.
        • By Speed: Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level.
        		 By Speed, By Shift from P or Off Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Automatic Door Unlock Function*1 By Shift to P
        • By Driver Door: Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver door is opend within approximately 43 seconds of the engine switch being turned off.
        • By Shift to P: Function that unlocks all doors when the shift lever is moved to P from any position other than P with the engine switch on (IG).
        		 By Shift to P, By Driver Door or Off Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Auto Unlock/Shift
        (Unlock w/ engine switch on (IG), shift P, speed 0 km/h (0 mph))*2        		 ON Function that unlocks all doors when lever is shifted to P from any position other than P while the engine switch is on (IG) ON/OFF Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        All Unlock/Open-Close
        (All unlock w/ D door open-close)*2        		 OFF Function that unlocks all other doors when opening driver door within 45 seconds after turning the engine switch is off ON/OFF Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Unlock Key Twice
        (Unlock w/ 2 times D key operation)        		 ON Function that unlocks only driver side door when driver side door key cylinder is turned to unlock once, and unlock all doors when it is turned to unlock twice. For OFF setting, turning it once unlocks all doors ON/OFF Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Auto Lock/Shift
        (Auto lock/shift not P)*2        		 OFF With engine running and all doors closed, function that locks all doors when lever is shifted to P from any position other than P ON/OFF Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Auto Lock*2 ON Function that locks all doors when vehicle speed reaches a certain level ON/OFF Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        • *1: w/ Side Marker Light
        • *2: w/o Side Marker Light
    2. Customizing with the Accessory meter assembly
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle Customization / Door Lock Settings.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        DOOR LOCK SETTINGS

        Display Default Contents Setting Relevant ECU
        Automatic Door Lock*1 By Shift from P
        • By Shift From P: Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved out of P, with the engine switch on (IG) and all doors closed.
        • By Speed: Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level.
        		 By Speed, By Shift from P or Off Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Automatic Door Unlock*1 By Shift to P

        Auto Unlock by Shift to P*2 On Function that unlocks all doors when the shift lever is moved to P from any position other than P with the engine switch on (IG) On or Off Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Auto Unlock by Driver Door*2 Off Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver door is opened within 45 seconds after the engine switch is turned off On or Off Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
        Unlock on Second Key Turn On Function that unlocks only the driver door when the driver door key cylinder is turned to unlock once, and unlocks all doors when it is turned to unlock twice. For the Off setting, turning it once unlocks all doors On or Off Main body ECU (Driver side junction block)
