Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - ] ).
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - ] ).
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
- Disconnect the front fender liner so that the skid control sensor wire connector can be seen.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Front Fender Liner - Disconnect the sensor connector.
- Detach the sensor clip.
- Remove the bolt and sensor clamp.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 sensor clamps.
- Disconnect the pad wear indicator connector.
- Remove the bolt and sensor clamp.
- Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
- Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.
- Disconnect the front fender liner so that the skid control sensor wire connector can be seen.
- DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (for 6-Pot Caliper)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (except 6-Pot Caliper)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- REMOVE FRONT DISC (for 6-Pot Caliper)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- REMOVE FRONT DISC (except 6-Pot Caliper)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY (FRONT SPEED SENSOR)
HINT:
The front speed sensor is a component of the front axle hub sub-assembly. If the sensor malfunctions, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.
- Remove the front axle hub (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] ).
