Installation [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, set the generator with the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Install the generator with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the generator connector.

    4. Connect the harness to the +B terminal with the nut.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 101

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 115

  6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100

  7. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 111

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  10. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUBASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  13. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUBASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - ] ).

  15. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH

    1. Install the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver RH.
      NOTE:

      If the cowl top ventilator louver RH is not properly installed, water may leak into the engine room and cause malfunctions. Therefore, make sure the cowl top ventilator louver RH is installed properly.
