DTC U0319: Software Incompatible with Steering Effort Control Module or Internal Control Module EEPROM Error [09/2015 - ]: Description

The sport package information sent by the steering control ECU via CAN communication is stored in the EEPROM of the ECM. If the sport package information stored in the EEPROM is abnormal or CAN communication with the steering control ECU stops, the ECM stores a DTC.

*1: The sport package information is stored in the ECM the first time the engine switch is turned on (IG) after the ECM is replaced. This takes approximately 3 seconds to complete.

HINT:

DTC U0319 is stored when the engine switch is turned off while the ECM is storing the sport package information.

If the vehicle is driven with DTC U0319 stored, the ECM and TCM operate as if the vehicle did not have the sport package. If the ECM failed to store the sport package information or when the information needs to be stored again, perform "Shift Control Synchronization" with the Techstream.
