Removal [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

    See step  6 [09/2014 - 10/2015], or see step  6 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    See step  7 [09/2014 - 10/2015], or see step  7 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  5. SEPARATE WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and separate the wire harness from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Disengage the wire harness clamp from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
  6. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.
    2. Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  7. REMOVE SPARK PLUG 
    1. Remove the 6 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
