(to E.F.I. vacuum sensor assembly (manifold absolute pressure sensor))
      1. Disconnect the E.F.I. vacuum sensor assembly (manifold absolute pressure sensor) connector.
      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3(VC) - 2(E2) IG ON 4.75 to 5.25 V
        1(PIM) - 2(E2) IG ON 3.0 to 5.25 V
    2. Check the intake manifold pressure.
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the Techstream on.
      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Intake Manifold Pressure.

Powertrain > Engine > Data List

        Tester Display
        Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure
      5. Read the E.F.I. vacuum sensor value.

        OK

Same value as the actual atmospheric pressure

        HINT:

        • Standard atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa (abs) [758 mmHg (abs)].
        • For every 100 m (328 ft.) increase in altitude, pressure drops by 1 kPa (7.5 mmHg).
