- INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SATELLITE SWITCH SET)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
*a Component without harness connected
(Combination Switch Assembly (Satellite Switch Set))Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (NORM) - 7 (GND) "Normal/Custom" mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω "Normal/Custom" mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 3 (SPSW) - 7 (GND) Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at "S/S+" position Below 1 Ω Combination switch assembly knob not turned to "S/S+" position 10 kΩ or higher 6 (ECU) - 7 (GND) Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at "Eco" position Below 1 Ω Combination switch assembly knob not turned to "Eco" position 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set).
- Inspect the illumination:
*a Component without harness connected
(Combination Switch Assembly (Satellite Switch Set))- Apply battery voltage to the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set) and check that the switch illuminates.
OK
Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 8 (ILL-)Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set).
- Apply battery voltage to the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set) and check that the switch illuminates.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
