Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2022 - ]
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.
- Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air cleaner hose.
*1 Vacuum Hose *2 No. 2 Ventilation Hose *a Air Cleaner Cap Clamp *b Guide *c Unlocked *d Locked - Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- Disengage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps.
- Disengage the 2 guides to separate the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Lock the hose clip and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 3 bolts and separate the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to remove the throttle body with motor assembly.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
