- INSPECT DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 - 7 "Normal/Custom" mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω "Normal/Custom" mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 7 Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at "S/S+" position Below 1 Ω Combination switch assembly knob not turned to "S/S+" position 10 kΩ or higher 6 - 7 Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at "Eco" position Below 1 Ω Combination switch assembly knob not turned to "Eco" position 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly).
- Inspect the illumination:
- Apply battery voltage to the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.
OK
Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 8Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly).
- Apply battery voltage to the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
