Installation [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

INSTALL SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2017 - 08/2019] ).
  NOTE:
  - Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on.
  - Do not rotate the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on.
  - Make sure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.
  - Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN UPPER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
ADJUST SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2017 - 08/2019]
INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
1. Install the steering wheel assembly (Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the SRS warning light (Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [08/2015 - ] ).
