ACIS Control Circuit [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from port F on the vacuum switching valve (for ACIS).
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Start the engine.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Active the VSV for Intake Control.
5. Operate the vacuum switching valve for ACIS.
6. Check the vacuum switching valve air flow when switching the vacuum switching valve.

   OK

   Test Condition	Specified Condition
   Vacuum switching valve is ON	Air from port E flows out through port F
   Vacuum switching valve is OFF	Air from port E flows out through air filter

1. Check the vacuum hoses is not clogged, damaged, disconnected or bent.

1. Inspect the intake air control valve (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 ).

OK 

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

REPLACE INTAKE MANIFOLD 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

1. Inspect the vacuum switching valve assembly (for ACIS) (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2015 - ] ).

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (FOR ACIS) 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve (for ACIS) connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Remove the No. 1 integration relay from the engine room relay block.
4. Disconnect the No. 1 integration relay connector.
5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C9-2 - C30-19 (ACIS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C9-1 - 1B-4	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C9-2 or C30-19 (ACIS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   C9-1 or 1B-4 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE ECM 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
