Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Condition Waiting Time
      Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
      Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ] ).
  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL LH 
  3. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR COVER 
    1. Remove the 3 clips and height control compressor cover.
  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2021 - ]

  6. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL FILTER 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 hoses.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and height control filter from the height control compressor bracket.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 height control tube from the No. 2 height control valve (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - ] ).

      HINT: 

      For the disconnection procedure of the tube (type 2), refer to Precaution of the Suspension Control System section.

  8. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the 3 clamps.
    3. Detach the No. 2 height control tube.
    4. Disconnect the connector.

    5. Detach the clamp.
    6. Remove the 3 bolts and height control compressor.

    7. Remove the bolt and height control dryer.

    8. Remove the O-ring.
    9. Remove the 3 bushes from the height control compressor.

  9. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and height control compressor bracket.
