Removal [10/2017 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2020 - ]
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- Disengage the clamp.
- Disconnect the 2 camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly connectors and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly connector.
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the engine wire from the timing chain cover assembly.
- Disengage the claw and open the cover of the fuel hose clamp as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the fuel hose clamp from the fuel tube connector.
- Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 2 fuel tube sub-assembly.
- Disengage the 4 clamps.
- Remove the 2 nuts to disconnect the engine wire from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
- Disconnect the 2 VVT sensor connectors.
- Disengage the clamp to disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the fuel pump assembly connector.
- Disengage the clamp.
- REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE SPARK PLUG
- Remove the 6 spark plugs.NOTE:
If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
HINT:
Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Remove the 6 spark plugs.
