How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CXPI COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check the CXPI communication function to ensure that there are no malfunctions in the communication system.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Result

      Proceed to
      No DTCs output
      DTCs output

    Result: 

    DTCs output 

    GO TO CXPI COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2017 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    No DTCs output

  4. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023] 

    2. Clear the DTCs.
      1. No. 1 semiconductor power integration ECU

        Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 1 > Clear DTCs 

      2. Semiconductor power integration ECU (w/ PTC Heater)

        Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 2 > Clear DTCs 

      3. No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU

        Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 3 > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs.
      1. No. 1 semiconductor power integration ECU

        Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 1 > Trouble Codes 

      2. Semiconductor power integration ECU (w/ PTC Heater)

        Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 2 > Trouble Codes 

      3. No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU

        Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 3 > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Proceed to
      No DTCs output
      DTCs output

    Result: 

    DTCs output 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2017 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2020 - 10/2023]  

    Result: 

    No DTCs output

  5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the Problem Symptoms Table.

      Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to TERMINALS OF ECU [10/2020 - 10/2023] 

    3. Problem Symptoms Table
