- INSPECT ENGINE SWITCH (PUSH START SWITCH)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 12 (SS1) - 3 (GND) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 6 (SS2) - 3 (GND) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 11 (SS3) - 3 (GND) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 12 (SS1) - 3 (GND) Pushed Below 1 Ω 6 (SS2) - 3 (GND) Pushed Below 1 Ω 11 (SS3) - 3 (GND) Pushed Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the engine switch (push start switch).
- Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the engine switch (push start switch), and check the illumination condition of the engine switch (push start switch) indicator light.
OK
Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 5 (SWIL)
Battery negative (-) → 3 (GND)Illuminates HINT:
- If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the engine switch (push start switch) indicator light will not illuminate.
- If the voltage is too low, the engine switch (push start switch) indicator light will not illuminate.
If the result is not as specified, replace the engine switch (push start switch).
