On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2020 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY RH (for Intake Side of Bank 1)
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - ]
- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (INTAKE CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT ASSEMBLY)
- Check the stroke of the plunger in the center of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (intake camshaft timing gear bolt assembly).
Standard Stroke
2.2 mm (0.0866 in.) or more
*a Plunger HINT:
If the result is not as specified, replace the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (intake camshaft timing gear bolt assembly).
- Check the stroke of the plunger in the center of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (intake camshaft timing gear bolt assembly).
- INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY RH (for Intake Side of Bank 1)
Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2020 - ]
- REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY RH (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1)
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - ]
- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (EXHAUST CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT ASSEMBLY)
- Check the stroke of the plunger in the center of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (exhaust camshaft timing gear bolt assembly).
Standard Stroke
2.2 mm (0.0866 in.) or more
