Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED 

    HINT: 

    Check each part and system if an error is displayed for air movement pattern C.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 with the engine switch off.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on and enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Utility / Air Transfer Pattern C.

      Chassis > Air suspension > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Air Transfer Pattern C
    4. Perform vehicle height control prohibition and air movement according to the instructions on the Techstream.
    5. Discharge remaining pneumatic tank pressure:
      1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [10/2022 - ]

      2. Remove the service valve cap.

      3. Discharge the remaining pressure by pushing the center of the service valve.

        HINT: 

        Do not release the remaining pressure at once. Release it over several steps.

    6. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE W/O RELAY COMPRESSOR AND DRYER ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    When discarding w/o relay compressor and dryer assembly, remove the No. 1 height control tube and No. 2 height control tube in order to release the pressure inside the compressor.

    1. Disconnect the 2 connrctors.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the height control hose from the height control wey.

    3. Using SST, disconnect the No. 5 height control tube.
      • SST: 09730-00020

      *1 No. 5 height control tube
      *2 No. 9 height control tube

      Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - ]

    4. Using SST, disconnect the No. 9 height control tube.
      • SST: 09730-00020 

      Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - ]

    5. Remove the 4 nuts and w/o relay compressor and dryer assembly.

    6. Detach the claw.

    7. Rotate the clip and remove it from the stud bolt.

      HINT: 

      Leave the clip on the compressor.

  4. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and height control compressor bracket.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Using SST, remove the No. 2 height control tube from the w/o relay compressor and dryer assembly and No. 3 height control valve assembly.
      • SST: 09730-00020 

      Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - ]

    2. Detach the clamp from the No. 3 height control valve assembly
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Using SST, remove the No. 1 height control tube from the w/o relay compressor and dryer assembly and No. 3 height control valve assembly.
      • SST: 09730-00020 

      Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - ]

  7. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the height control hose from the height control wey.

    2. Cut the cable tie.
    3. Remove the height control hose from the w/o relay compressor and dryer assembly.
  8. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL WAY 
    1. Detach the claw and remove the height control way from the compressor bracket.

  9. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE HARNESS ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps.
    3. Disconnect the 9 clamps and remove the height control valve harness assembly.

    4. w/ Cable Tie:
      1. Cut the cable tie.
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR 
    1. Disconnect the 2 clamps.

    2. Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.
    3. Cut the cable tie.
    4. Remove the 3 nuts, No. 3 height control compressor bracket and No. 1 height control compressor.

      *1 Plate Washer
      *2 Height Control Compressor Bush
      *3 Collar
      *4 Height Control Compressor Compression Spring
    5. Remove the plate washer, collar, 5 height control compressor bushes and 5 height control compressor compression spring.
  11. REMOVE NO. 3 HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts, height control valve bracket and No. 3 height control valve assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 height control valve bushes.
