Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Bank 1:
      1. Remove the bolt.

      2. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

      3. Remove the bolt.

      4. Remove the intercooler support bracket.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2020 - ]

      5. Disconnect the 3 ignition coil assembly connectors.

      6. Remove the 3 bolts and 3 ignition coil assemblies.
        NOTE:

        If a ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. for Bank 2:
      1. Remove the bolt.

      2. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

      3. Remove the bolt.

      4. Remove the No. 2 intercooler support bracket.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2020 - ]

      5. Disconnect the 3 ignition coil assembly connectors.

      6. Remove the 3 bolts and 3 ignition coil assemblies.
        NOTE:

        If a ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  6. REMOVE SPARK PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
