Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [10/2023 - ]

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2023 - ]

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2023 - ]

  9. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [12/2017 - ]

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 1 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the wire harness clamp.
    3. Detach the clamp.

    4. Slide the clip, disconnect the No. 4 air hose from the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor.
    5. Disconnect the No. 1 air tube assembly connector.

    6. Loosen the clamp.
    7. Slide the clip, disconnect the No. 1 air tube assembly.
  11. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the clamp.

    3. Slide the clip, disconnect the No. 5 air hose from the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor.
    4. Disconnect the No. 2 air tube assembly connector.

    5. Loosen the clamp.
    6. Slide the clip, disconnect the No. 2 air tube assembly.
  12. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    5. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the No. 1 air tube assembly and intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler.
      NOTE:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    6. Slide the 2 clips, disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    7. Remove the gasket from the throttle body with motor assembly.
    8. Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler.

  13. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2) 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    5. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the No. 2 air tube assembly and intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler.
      NOTE:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    6. Slide the 2 clips, disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 6 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    7. Remove the gasket from the throttle body with motor assembly.
    8. Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler.
