Inspection [12/2017 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT FRONT ACCELERATION SENSOR
- Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
- Connect a positive (+) lead from the batteries to terminal 3 (SGB) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 (SGG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
FOR LH SIDE:Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L47-1 (SGFL) - L47-2 (SGG) Sensor stationary Approx. 2.0 to 2.5 V L47-1 (SGFL) - L47-2 (SGG) Sensor vibrating vertically Changes between approx. 0.9 and 3.6 V FOR RH SIDE:Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L36-1 (SGFR) - L36-2 (SGG) Sensor stationary Approx. 2.0 to 2.5 V L36-1 (SGFR) - L36-2 (SGG) Sensor vibrating vertically Changes between approx. 0.9 and 3.6 V *A for LH side *B for RH side *a Component without harness connected
(Front Acceleration Sensor LH)Top Bottom NOTE:- Do not apply a voltage of more than 6 V.
- Do not drop the front acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
- Never place the front acceleration sensor upside down.
HINT:
When the acceleration sensor is tilted, it may output a different value.
