Installation [09/2014 - 03/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    HINT: 

    • If the front speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.
    • The front speed sensor is a component of the front axle hub sub-assembly. If the front speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.
  2. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. INSTALL FRONT DISC 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. INSTALL FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
    1. for LH Side:
      1. Connect the connector to install the front skid control sensor wire LH.
      2. Install the sensor clamp to the vehicle body with the bolt.

        Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

      3. Engage the clamp to the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH.
        NOTE:

        Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

    2. for RH Side:
      1. Connect the connector to install the front skid control sensor wire RH.
      2. Install the sensor clamp to the vehicle body with the bolt.

        Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

      3. Engage the 2 clamps to the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket RH and vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

    3. Return the front fender liner to its original position.
    4. Install the 2 sensor clamps to the front shock absorber assembly and vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

    5. Install the sensor clamp to the steering knuckle with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

    6. Connect the front skid control sensor wire connector to the front axle hub sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

    7. Connect the pad wear indicator wire connector to the front skid control sensor wire.
      NOTE:

      Do not twist the pad wear indicator wire when installing it.

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER 
    1. Install the front fender liner with the screw.
  8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 03/2019]

  10. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [11/2017 - 03/2019]
