Removal [09/2014 - 03/2019]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 03/2019]

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - 03/2019]

  3. REMOVE ROLL RATE AND VERTICAL ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps from the bracket.

    2. Disconnect the connector from the roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor.
    3. Remove the 2 nuts and roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor.
      NOTE:
      • Do not drop the roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor.
      • If the roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

  4. REMOVE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and bracket from the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
